Lenine was born in 1959 and named Osvaldo Lenine Macedo Pimentel in honor of the Russian revolutionary. “Paciência” (“Patience”) is from his 1999 album “Na Pressão” (“Under “Pressure”).
“Patience”
Even when everything asks for a little more calm
Even when the body asks for a little more soul
Life doesn’t stop
While time accelerates and asks for speed
I refuse, I kill time, I go with the flow
Life is so rare
While everyone is waiting for a cure for evil
And craziness pretends that all this is normal
I pretend to have patience
The world keeps spinning faster and faster
We expect from the world and the world expects from us
A little more patience
Could it be that what you need is time to understand
Could it be that we have that time to lose
And who wants to know
Life is so rare, so rare
Even when everything asks for a little more calm
Even when the body asks for a little more soul
I know, life doesn’t stop
No, life doesn’t stop
Life doesn’t stop
Life is so rare
