In Brazil, if you see a reference to casualidade, there’s no need for concern. That’s not “casualty” (baixa) but “chance.”

Once upon a time it was probably more of a problem that “cigar” isn’t cigarro (“cigarette”) than it is now. But for those still smoking, “cigar” is charuto.

On the other hand, it’s still quite confusing that colégio and “college” and faculdade and “faculty” seem like pairs. But colégio = “high school” and faculdade = “college” while “faculty” is corpo docente.

And finally, there’s potential confusion over the fact that eventual does not mean “eventual.” It means “potential" and if you want to say “eventual” you should use final.
