Agenor de Miranda Araújo Neto (4/4/1958-7/7/1990), better known as Cazuza, first came to fame as lead singer of the band Barão Vermelho (“Red Baron”). His work as the main songwriter for that band and especially his later solo work earned him the nickname “O Poeta do Rock” (“The Poet of Rock”). In his AIDS-shortened 9-year career, he sold more than 5 million albums and had eleven #1 singles and 18 Top 10 singles. “Todo o amor que houver nesta vida” (“All the love there is in this life” - although the use of the future subjunctive “houver” could be translated as “All the love there could be in this life” or “All the love there might be in this life” or actually all three: is, could be, might be - and will be) was on Barão Vermelho’s first album.
