Walking Metamorphosis
I prefer to be that walking metamorphosis
I prefer to be that ambling metamorphosis
Than to have that old opinion formed about everything
Than to have that same old opinion about everything
Now I want to say the opposite of what I said before
I prefer being that walking metamorphosis
Than having that old opinion set about everything
About what love is
About how even I don’t know who I am
If today I’m a star, tomorrow it’s already out
If today I hate you, tomorrow I love you
I have love for you
I feel horror for you
I make love to you
I’m an actor
It’s boring to get to your objective in an instant
I want to live in that walking metamorphosis
Than to have that same old opinion about everything
I’m going to tell you all everything that I said before
I prefer to be that ambling metamorphosis
Than to have that old opinion formed about everything
Raul Seixas (1945-1989), sometimes called the Father of Brazilian Rock (although he never limited himself to just one genre), released 21 albums during his too-short life. “Toca Raul” (“Play Raul”) can be heard frequently from fans at concerts of almost every other artist.
